Boomer & Carton Set To Bring Radio Gold To Nets-Wizards On WFAN

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Tune-in alert!

The Brooklyn Nets will host the Washington Wizards on Friday night, and WFAN's morning show duo of Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton will be calling the game on the radio.

Already there's a dispute over whether Esiason will be simultaneously watching his beloved Rangers via Slingbox.

"Dude, you are gonna be talking so much tonight, I'll be lucky to get one word in," said Boomer, making his case that Carton -- vehemently opposed to Esiason splitting his attention -- will be filling most of the air, um,  on the play-by-play.

Broadcasting Nets, Watching Rangers?

While doing his homework, Esiason noticed how seasoned radio teams made it sound easy, like a casual conversation.

"I'll do that with you," said Carton.

Esiason: "No you won't."

Carton: "After every basket, I want you to talk."

Esiason: "I'm not talking after every basket. You don't talk after every basket."

Carton: "You better come prepared, 'cause I don't want to talk the entire game. I mean, I'll do the play-by-play, but you better chime in there, brother."

Esiason: "When am I gonna chime in?"

"Boomer & Carton" producer Al Dukes even gave us a taste of what he could bring to the broadcast. Oh boy.

Trust us, folks -- tune in. Pregame starts at 7:20 p.m. on 660 AM and 101.9 FM.
