Do-It-Yourself At-Home Spa Treatments

NEW YORK (WLNY) -- Looking for the solace of a spa, but don't have the time or the money?

Jackie Burns, Senior Editor of Spa Finder, showed us easy ways you can spa-ify your home and reap all the benefits of a day at the spa without leaving the house.

Earthing in Your Bathroom: Add a mat in your bathroom that mimics the textures of stones. Massage your feet and feel a sense of the earth all at the same time. Also, try a bamboo shower mat in your shower to keep your feet from soaking in water and to reduce your risk of slipping.

Vitamin C - more than just OJ --  Install a vitamin C shower filter to neutralize the chlorine and remove toxins from your water. You'll notice softer hair and skin and will drench yourself in an essential nutrient.

Oatmeal Hand Spa and Care Treatment
1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
2 tbsp oatmeal
1 tsp olive oil
- Add the oatmeal to 1/4 cup water and let stand 10 minutes until oatmeal is softened.
- Add 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice and 1/2 teaspoon olive oil to oatmeal and mix well.
- Rub mixture into your hands and let stand 1-2 minutes. Rinse with cool water and pat dry.

Simple Rosemary Citrus Body Polish
2 tbsp crushed rosemary
¼ cup natural sea salt
¼ cup oil (grape seed, coconut, etc.)
1 tsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 tbsp honey
