Street Closures For The St. Patrick's Day Parade
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Several major thoroughfares in Midtown will be closed for the St. Patrick's Day Parade.
The closures will be in effect from before 11 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. for the parade.
The closures are as follows:
For the formation:
• Vanderbilt Avenue between 43rd Street and 46th Street;
• 44th Street and 45th Street between Vanderbilt Avenue and Sixth Avenue;
• 46th Street through 48th Street between Park Avenue and Sixth Avenue;
• Fifth Avenue between 42nd Street and 44th Street;
For the parade route:
• Fifth Avenue between 79th Street 44th Street;
For the dispersal:
• Fifth Avenue between 86th Street and 79th Street;
• 80th Street through 85th Street between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue;
Miscellaneous closures:
• 63rd Street and 64th Street between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue;
• Madison Avenue between 63rd Street and 64th Street.
The parade began at Fifth Avenue and 44th Street, and was to proceed north to 79th Street.
