Seeing Eye Dogs Visit The Couch For National Puppy Day

NEW YORK (WLNY) -- Saturday is National Puppy Day and we celebrated by inviting pooches from The Seeing Eye Organization to join us on The Couch.

The Seeing Eye was founded in  1929 and serves all 50 states. Over the last 84 years, almost 16,000 Seeing Eye dog teams have been created. The non-profit organization pairs up visually impaired people with trained guide dogs so they can get around.

Peggy Gibson, the director of canine development for The Seeing Eye and 14-year-old Joe Dybas, a volunteer puppy raiser, stopped by with German shepherd Cinder.
