Authorities: LI Man Arrested, Charged With Impersonating An FBI Agent

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A Hicksville man was arrested for allegedly impersonating an FBI agent on Saturday morning, according to police in Nassau County.

Gagandeep Singh, 19, allegedly stopped a car full of people in the parking lot of a 7-11 on the Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow and produced an FBI identification card. He asked the driver, a 21-year-old woman, to open the trunk so he could perform a search, according to a police report.

Detectives responding to a 911 call found two New York State drivers' licenses with the same name and different dates of birth, and a fake FBI identification card in Singh's possession.

Singh was arrested and charged with Criminal Impersonation, multiple counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, Driving While Intoxicated, and multiple counts of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation.

His arraignment is set for March 24, 2013.
