Teen Seriously Injured In Selden Hit-And-Run; 2 Arrested

SELDEN, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Long Island teen was in serious condition Sunday night, hospitalized with head injuries after a hit-and-run crash.

Suffolk County police have arrested Milissa O'Brien, 39, of Miford, and Anthony Bonello, 40, of Bay Shore, in connection with the hit-and-run accident, which happened Saturday evening.

Investigators said O'Brien was heading west on Middle Country Road near Marshall Drive in Selden, when she hit the 16-year-old boy the road.

She returned a short time later with Bonello, and told police he was the one driving in the crash, police said.

But police determined the pair was lying, and O'Brien ended up getting hit with more charges. She was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving on a suspended license, and both were charged of falsely reporting an incident, Suffolk County police said.
