Report: Woman Says Boss Harassed, Molested Her On The Job

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 22-year-old woman has sued her 73-year-old boss on the grounds that he grabbed her crotch and repeatedly harassed her with sexually graphic language, according to published reports.

Reports in the New York Post and Daily News said Amanda Gonzalez had been working as a secretary for business owner Richard Simon, 73, in the Garment District. Simon already has pleaded guilty to criminal charges in connection with the case, the report said.

Gonzalez said in court papers that when she interviewed for the $22,500-a-year secretarial job in 2011, Simon asked whether she had a boyfriend and asked for her opinion on abortion, the newspapers reported.

But it got worse after that, as Simon remarked that her body was "voluptuous" and "chesty," and that she had a "big butt," the Daily News reported.

Gonzalez complained about Simon to his business partner, but he advised her to not to worry because Simon's "penis doesn't work," the newspaper reported.

But it allegedly didn't stop there. In March 2012, Simon allegedly began kissing Gonzalez's hips and breasts and grabbed her crotch over her pants, saying, "I can't wait to eat it," the newspaper reported. Afterward, Gonzalez left and never came back, and she called police, the newspaper reported.

Simon pleaded guilty last year to misdemeanor sexual abuse, but was not required to do any jail time or register as a sex offender, the newspaper reported.
