Burglary Suspect Posing As Construction Worker Sought In 3 Incidents

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are asking for help in finding a suspect wanted in connection with three burglaries.

Authorities said all of the incidents took place in Midtown.

Posing as a construction worker, the suspect has broken into construction site trailers on the weekends during non-working hours, police said.

The NYPD said the suspect gained access to those trailers by using a hammer to break open the lock and latch from the door before removing items.

The incidents took place on March 16, 17 and 23. The suspect has taken items including electronics, construction tools and cash, police said.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male with a light complexion, between 5-foot-8 and 5-9 and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a hard hat and construction vest.
