Police: Drunk Driver Plows Into House On Long Island
BELLMORE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) - Police on Long Island have charged a man with drunk driving after he crashed his car into a house.
According to police, Matthew Knee and a passenger were stuck inside the vehicle when Nassau County officers arrived at the scene on Saturday evening.
Police say Knee, 30, first drove off a road in Bellmore through a fence, then into the home. His car was seen sticking halfway out onto the lawn.
He's charged with assault, reckless driving and driving while intoxicated.
Knee and his passenger were treated for head injuries. No on inside the home was injured, police said.
