Police: Man Snatched iPhone From Woman's Hand In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a man wanted for stealing an iPhone from a woman in the Bronx.

The incident happened around 6 p.m. Sunday on Anthony Avenue.

Police said the suspect approached a 22-year-old woman from behind and grabbed the device from her hand.

The victim was not hurt.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.

The thefts of Apple products, such as iPhones and iPads, are among the most comment street and subway crimes. Earlier this year, the NYPD announced a partnership with Apple to try to track down stolen devices.
