3 Pairs Of 'Sex And The City' Shoes To Be Auctioned To Benefit Arts School

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- People who move to New York are often warned not to expect the "Sex and the City" lifestyle to match up to reality.

But if those people are willing to put up the money, they can actually come close. Sarah Jessica Parker is auctioning three pairs of shoes from her Carrie Bradshaw days to raise money for the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and the Performing Arts.

Parker's "Sex and the City" shoes from Prada, Jonathan Kelsey and Dolce Vita will be sold alongside Elvis Presley's brown leather boots, one Shaquille O'Neal basketball shoe -- size 22 -- and pink platforms that Britney Spears wore on tour.

The auction benefits the school, located at 100 Amsterdam Ave. near Lincoln Center, according to statement Wednesday from the memorabilia company Gotta Have Rock and Roll.

The auction will also feature Madonna's leopard-print Miu Miu boots, Sylvester Stallone's fur boots, Elle MacPherson's runway Manolo Blahnik suede boots, as well as boots once owned and worn by Miley Cyrus, Sammy Davis Jr. Shoes worn by Lisa Kudrow and Ray Charles, Air Jordan sneakers worn by Eminem, and signed pairs of sneakers owned by Ke$ha and Peter Facinelli of "Twilight: Eclipse" fame are also up for auction.

And a shoe belonging to Janet Jackson – this one a baby shoe along with a baby photo display – is on the block.

While the minimum bid for each pair of Sarah Jessica Parker's shoes is a mere $100, you will need at least $5,000 for the Elvis Presley boots.

The sale starts on April 24.
