Police Release New Photo Of East Village Groper

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday released a new surveillance photo of a man wanted for grabbing a 9-year-old girl's buttocks in the East Village.

The incident happened around 4:45 p.m. Sunday, April 14, in the 9th Precinct, which includes the East Village, police said. Police did not provide a specific location where the alleged sexual abuse occurred.

The man walked up to the girl and touched her buttocks, police said. No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect was described as white and in his 30s or 40s, approximately 200 pounds, with black hair with some gray. He was last seen wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt, dark jeans, and white metal-wired glasses, police said.

Police previously provided a sketch of the suspect.
