Giants Take Syracuse Product Justin Pugh 19th Overall At 2013 NFL Draft

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — The New York Giants have added depth to an aging offensive line, drafting Justin Pugh of Syracuse with the 19th pick in the NFL draft.

While the Giants biggest need heading into the draft was defense, Pugh is a versatile lineman who can play both guard and tackle. New York needs help at both spots with right tackle David Diehl coming off a sub-par season.

Pugh skipped his final year of eligibility to enter the NFL draft. A three-time All-Big East selection, he missed the first four games last season recovering from shoulder surgery.

The Giants, who were coming off a Super Bowl win in February 2012, missed the playoffs with a 9-7 record last season.
