Police Have Released Few Details About Body At Construction Site

EDGEWATER, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — A man’s body washed ashore Saturday morning at a construction site in Edgewater, N.J., police said.

The discovery was made not far from the police headquarters for the town.

A construction worker found the body around 7:20 a.m. Saturday at the River Road site, police said.

Authorities declined further comment on the discovery or the condition of the body. They also would not say whether foul play is suspected in the man’s death.

The body was turned over to the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office.
