Police Search For iPad Thief Who Struck In Brooklyn Subway

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Saturday were searching for a thief who swiped a woman's iPad out of her hand on a subway train in Brooklyn.

The Q train was about to leave the Seventh Avenue stop in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn shortly after 9 p.m. Friday, March 15, when the man grabbed the 24-year-old woman's iPad from her hands.

There were no injuries, police said.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male between 20 and 30 years old, standing 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds, with short black hair.

Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect.
