YAPHANK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A motorcyclist was killed Sunday afternoon in a crash in Yaphank, Long Island.

Michael Luthy, 34, of Medford, was riding his 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle north on Sills Road in Yaphank around 2:40 p.m. Sunday, according to Suffolk County police. His motorcycle collided with a 2002 Mercury sport-utility vehicle headed along Expressway Drive North, and driven by Israel Berger Carrera-Garcia, 38, of Flanders, police said.
