NEW YORK (WLNY) — Eric Salvador, head trainer at the Fhitting Room, visited The Couch for Thursday’s Fit Minute.

Woodchops with Medicine Ball:
1) Start with the feet a little wider than hip distance apart, keeping the knees slightly bent
2) Keep your hips centered and pull your abs into your spine to stabilize your center
3) Slightly squat down, holding the medicine ball with straight arms to the outside of one knee
4) Bring the ball up diagonally across your body and overhead to the opposite side
5) Move the ball with control back to the starting position and repeat the move
5) Make sure to rotate through the trunk, do not twist through your knees
6) Repeat steps on opposite side
