Last night marked the beginning of the 2013 Subway Series, and it was the Mets who emerged victorious, topping the Yankees, 2-1.
Daniel Murphy (pictured) hit the go-ahead, game-winning single in the eighth inning after David Wright tied things up in the seventh with his first Citi Field long ball of the season. All in all it was a crisp brand of baseball, which pleased both Boomer & Craig, who opened up today’s edition of the Morning Extravaganza by breaking it all down and having all sorts of fun while doing so.
Tonight the Mets will send young fireballer Matt Harvey to the mound. He will be opposed by Hiroki Kuroda for the Bombers.
In addition to the baseball talk, Craig did his best to get Boomer going by bringing up the cloudy future of Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist. And the Spurs finished off a sweep of the Grizzlies to advance to the NBA Finals…
