Police: Suspect Cut Hole In Roof, Burglarized Bronx Store

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are trying to find a suspect who they said broke into a store in the Bronx by cutting a hole in the roof.

It happened just before 4 a.m. on May 16.

The suspect cut a hole in the roof of Exclusive Beauty Supply on Jerome Avenue and stole the cash register and other property, police said. He then left the store through the hole in the roof and took off, police said.

The entire incident was captured on surveillance video. The suspect can be seen with items in one hand while a carrying a ladder down an aisle of the store.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man about 5-feet-7 to 5-feet-9-inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds with a beard.
