Police: Suspect Wanted For Stealing Watches Worth $36K From L.I. Store
SOUTH HUNTINGTON, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Suffolk County are trying to find a suspect who they said stole two Rolex watches from a South Huntington store.
Around 5:15 p.m. on May 19, a man walked into a Tourneau store on Walt Whitman Road and asked to see two Rolex Yacht-Master men's watches valued at more than $36,000, police said.
He then tried on the watches and fled the store without paying, police said.
The suspect was described as a black man in his early 30s, about 5-feet-10-inches tall. He was clean-shaven with short black hair and was wearing a lime green shirt with a green tie, dark-colored jacket and beige pants.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
