SNL's Rising Star Jay Pharoah To Headline Carolines On Broadway

NEW YORK (WLNY) -- You may know him for his uncanny impressions of Will Smith, Denzel Washington and President Barack Obama, as seen on Saturday Night Live.

Now Jay Pharoah is headlining a New York City venue for the first time. His show hits Carolines on Broadway on Thursday and will perform through Saturday.

The SNL cast member, who recently performed his spot-on Barack Obama impersonation for the president, said that it takes him some time to nail down the mannerisms and voices of the stars.

"It's like playing a sport, it's like football, basketball. You have a thing that you do, and you have a routine and you just keep doing it until you get it down," he said.
