Police Searching For Woman Accused Of Taking Nephew

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Police are searching for a woman wanted for custodial interference.

According to police, 3-year-old Ladavion Brooks' aunt took him from his stroller without permission on Saturday around 5 p.m. outside his home in the Highbridge section of the Bronx.

Geraldine Brooks, 25, then took off with the little boy in an unknown direction.

Police announced Ladavion Brooks was found and is in good health around 3 p.m. Sunday. Geraldine Brooks remains at large, police said.

Geraldine Brooks is a black woman last seen wearing a white shirt and black pants.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
