Doc Gooden: Michael Lohan Was 'A Head Case,' Can See Why Lindsay Has Problems

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Dwight Gooden has battled his fair share of demons over the years.

The former Mets fireballer has fought drug addiction and alcohol abuse since his playing days, and he appeared on "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" on VH1 in 2011.

Among the participants that year, alongside Gooden, was Michael Lohan, the father of embattled actress Lindsay Lohan.

Appearing on "Jim Rome on Showtime," Doc was asked by Rome to give a power rankings of the cast members who had the most issues.

The 1984 National League Rookie of the Year admitted that Lohan topped his list.

"Biggest issues? I would say Michael Lohan," Gooden told Rome. "Michael Lohan, I mean, he was definitely a head case. I hope he's doing well now, but now I can kind of understand why Lindsay has the problems she has."

TMZ posted the video to its website on Wednesday. The interview is scheduled to air on Wednesday night on Showtime at 9 p.m.
