Police Seek Man, Woman Who Stole From 13-Year-Old Girl On Bus

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police Saturday night were searching for a suspect who stole an iPod and money from a 13-year-old girl on a city bus in the Bronx.

Around 4:15 p.m. Friday, May 26, the girl was riding the Bronx 12 Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus near Fordham Plaza and Webster Avenue. A male and female suspect distracted her and took the iPod and an undetermined amount of money from her bag.

The suspects then hopped off the bus.

One of the suspects was described as a Hispanic male around 6 feet tall, weighing 220 pounds. She was last seen wearing sunglasses and a brown T-shirt with a white design.

The other was described as a Hispanic female with long hair. She was last seen wearing sunglasses, and was accompanied by a 4-year-old girl.

Police have released a surveillance video of the suspects.
