Woman, Teenage Son Arrested As Police Bust L.I. Marijuana Operation

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A 48-year-old woman and her teenage son, along with three other teens and a 21-year-old, were arrested and charged this weekend in the bust of a marijuana sales operation in Nassau County.

The Nassau County Narcotics/Vice Bureau arrested Felicita Villegas, 48, and her son, Kelvin Vallegas, 17, on Saturday evening on allegations that they sold marijuana from their home on Blaine Avenue in East Meadow.

Four people were also arrested for purchasing marijuana from Villegas and her son – Anthony Ditucci, 21; Stephanie Heim, 18; Marni Tessier, 18; and a 15-year-old boy, police said.

Police removed marijuana and cash from the Villegas home.

Villegas and her son were charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of marijuana. Felicita Villegas was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

They were arraigned Sunday at the Nassau County First District Courthouse in Hempstead.

The buyers were charged with criminal possession of marijuana, police said. The three adult defendants were set to appear at First District Court on Monday, while the 15-year-old boy was to appear in Family Court at a later date.
