First Round Pick Plumlee Agrees Deal With Nets

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Brooklyn Nets announced on Wednesday they've agreed to a contract with first round pick Mason Plumlee.

Plumlee was drafted No. 22 overall at last Thursday's 2013 NBA draft. ESPN reported that the deal is worth $6.5 million and runs for four years. Plumlee is ready to go for Nets practices under new head coach Jason Kidd. Fellow big-man Andray Blatche agreed a one-year deal on Tuesday.

Plumlee was named Pete Newell Big Man of the Year and Second Team AP All-American in his final collegiate season at Duke. He was selected to the All-ACC First Team and the NCAA Midwest Regional All-Tournament Team.

Plumlee will participate in the in the 2013 Orlando Pro Summer League.
