Boomer & Carton Announce Rosters For All-Star Legends And Celebrity Softball Game

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) –

They are known throughout New York City as the dynamic radio duo, working together to broadcast sports talk and hilarity through the airwaves.

But on Sunday, July 14, Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton won't be working together, as they do each morning on WFAN's "Boomer and Carton" show, but rather against each other as opposing captains for the 2013 Taco Bell All-Star Legends And Celebrity Softball Game at Citi Field.

Boomer will be co-captaining the National League team with former Mets pitcher John Franco, while Craig will be co-captaining the American League team with former Yankees outfielder Bernie Williams. Williams extended his invitation to Craig while live on the morning show earlier this month.

Tensions will surely be high between the two captains, as competition is something they are used to. And with Craig recently taking home the 2013 Pulse of the People Award, Boomer will be looking for his redemption.

"From this point on, it's business," Carton said.

"It's on," Boomer replied. "It's on like Donkey Kong."

The Booms and Craigie will be joined by a slew of A-list celebrities, baseball greats and Wounded Warriors. The guys revealed their starting lineups live on WFAN from All-Star FanFest on Friday morning.
