NYPD Officer Arrested, Reportedly On Charges Of Threatening Woman

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An off-duty New York City police officer was arrested and charged this week, reportedly on allegations that he threatened a woman.

Officer Christopher Harris was arrested around 11:20 p.m. in the 105th Precinct in southeast Queens, police said.

He was charged with menacing, police said.

Police did not provide additional information, but the New York Daily News reported a woman told police she "feared for her safety" because of something Harris allegedly said to her.

Harris is a three-year veteran of the NYPD and is assigned to the 110th Precinct in Elmhurst, Queens, the newspaper reported.
