Police Search For Man Who Allegedly Tried To Kidnap Woman In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday were seeking help from the public in finding a suspect who allegedly tried to kidnap a woman in the Bergen Beach section of Brooklyn.

Around 2 a.m. on Monday, July 22, a man driving a dark-colored minivan pulled up alongside the 23-year-old woman at Avenue K and Bergen Avenue in Brooklyn, pointed a gun at her, and demanded that she get into his car, police said.

The victim ran off, and the suspect fled the scene.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s with a thin build, police said. Police have released a sketch of the suspect.
