Police Search For Suspect In Violent Sex Assault On Long Island

SHIRLEY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted for a violent sex assault on Long Island.

The suspect attacked a woman in the Shirley/Mastic area in the early morning hours of July 14, police said.

Investigators describe the suspect as an Hispanic man believed to be in his late 20s, with a muscular build.

He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and long white shorts which had a square pattern design, police said.

Police have released a sketch of the suspect and are offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
