Man Dies After Shooting In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was shot and killed in the Bronx early Sunday, and police have been searching for the assailant.

The shooting happened at 1:31 a.m. Sunday at 1379 Bronx River Ave., police said. The victim was quarreling with the suspect, who pulled out a gun and shot him once each in the chest and buttocks.

The victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. He was identified as Rasheed Barton, 28, who lived near the scene of the shooting.

Police Sunday evening released photos of a suspect in the shooting.
