Antrel Rolle: 'I'm Playing' For Giants In Week 1

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- There's no doubt in Antrel Rolle's mind. He'll be ready to go for New York's Week 1 matchup against Dallas.

The Giants safety was asked by WFAN radio host Mike Francesa on Wednesday about his availability for the game.

"One to 10, that's a tough one," Rolle said. "I'll probably say, like, 11.

"I'm playing."

Rolle walked onto the field Wednesday without a walking boot, less than two days suffering a low right ankle sprain at practice.

"Boots are for the wimps, man," he told reporters. "I'm not a wimp."

Rolle said his goal was to play in at least one preseason game, adding that his readiness for Week 1 wouldn't even be a question.

"That's my goal," Rolle said. "I don't know what everyone else's expectations are, but if I can play I'm going to go. It doesn't matter if it's this week, it doesn't matter if it's next week, it doesn't matter if it's Week 1. I've never been the kind of guy that's going to milk an injury. If I can go, I'm going to go."
