Suspect Wanted In Car, Trash Fires In Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were searching Sunday night for a suspect who set a car on fire, and is also suspected in several trash fires, in the Sunnyside section of Queens.

Around 5 a.m. Sunday, witnesses saw that a 2007 Mercury Mariner was on fire near 49th Street and 39th Avenue in Queens.

Two rubbish fires were also discovered near the same location, and two more a block away at 50th Street and 39th Avenue, police said.

No one was injured in any of the incidents, police said.

Police have released photos of a suspect in the arsons.
