Man In Custody After Hours-Long Standoff In Nassau County

BALDWIN HARBOR (CBSNewYork) -- A man has been taken into custody after an hours-long standoff in Nassau County.

Police first responded to the home in Baldwin Harbor after neighbors heard explosions or fireworks around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, CBS 2's Weijia Jiang reported.

When police arrived, a man ran into a home and then barricaded himself inside, Jiang reported.

The bomb squad was called and several homes in the area were evacuated.

After about a four-hour standoff, the man was taken into custody.
