The House Was Being Raised To Protect It From Flooding In A Sandy Ravaged Area

HIGHLANDS, N.J.(CBSNewYork) — Residents of a New Jersey community that was hit hard by Sandy experienced more heartache on Friday.

Two homes had to be demolished when one of them slid off of its foundation.

The two-story home was being raised to protect it from flooding when it fell and partially came down on the house next door.

Nobody was hurt during the incident. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
