Justin Timberlake's Tweet Draws Fans To Maxwell's In Hoboken

HOBOKEN, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A pop superstar caused quite a commotion on the streets of Hoboken.

Justin Timberlake was in town to film a commercial for Target stores Wednesday night.

Timberlake issued a tweet around 7 p.m. inviting fans to the now-closed indie-rock club Maxwell's at Washington and Eleventh Streets.

Timberlake said the first 150 people would be allowed in for a one-song performance.

Hundreds descended on the area and police were brought in for crowd control.

Timberlake last performed at the MTV Video Music Awards at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday.
