Queens Street Renamed After Sandy Hook School Shooting Victim

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A big honor for a little boy.

A street in Queens will be renamed in honor of Benjamin Wheeler, 6, who was gunned down inside his classroom at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14, 2012.

The corner of 41st Street and Queens Boulevard will be called "Benjamin Wheeler Place."

Wheeler was one of 26 people killed after Adam Lanza opened fire at the Newtown, Conn. School before turning the gun on himself.

Wheeler was born in Sunnyside. His family moved to Newtown when he was a baby.
