Tree Crashes Onto Northern State Parkway
DIX HILLS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A huge tree crashed onto the busy Northern State Parkway on Long Island Sunday, causing a major traffic nightmare.
The tree crashed onto the parkway at Exit 42 in Dix Hills, officials said.
Following the accident early Sunday evening, crews closed all the westbound lanes to clean up the mess.
There was no word Sunday evening if it was weather-related.
No one was injured.
