Holmes And Ellis Listed As Questionable For Jets' Season Opener

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBSNewYork) – The New York Jets announced on Friday that wide receiver Santonio Holmes and defensive tackle Kenrick Ellis are listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's home contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Quarterback Mark Sanchez and linebacker Quinton Coples are officially out for Sunday's game at MetLife Stadium.

Head coach Rex Ryan is hoping that Holmes recovers from his foot injury in time to start on Sunday.

Holmes suffered a Lisfranc foot injury in Week 4 of last season against the San Francisco 49ers. The injury forced him to miss the remainder of the 2012 regular season.
