Police: Juan Ramos Killed 22-Year-Old Giovanni Rodriguez

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A Brooklyn man has been arrested for stabbing a man to death Sunday, police said.

Juan Ramos, 64, is charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. He allegedly stabbed Giovanni Rodriguez, 22, around 3:15 p.m. on 57th Street and Fourth Avenue in Sunset Park.

When police arrived, they found Rodriguez with a stab wound to the stomach and right arm. He was brought to Lutheran Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

According to the New York Daily News, the suspect was taunting Rodriguez, who walked toward Ramos not realizing he was hiding a knife in his sweater. Witnesses who live in the neighborhood described Ramos as mentally unstable.
