Jets Place Antwan Barnes On Season-Ending Injured Reserve

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New York Jets linebacker Antwan Barnes is done for the year with a knee injury.

The Jets placed Barnes on season-ending injured reserve on Wednesday. He suffered the injury during Monday night's 30-28 win in Atlanta.

"I'll tell you what, he wasn't able to finish the game, obviously," Ryan said Tuesday. "So that doesn't look good."

Barnes has two sacks on the season. On Twitter, he said his spirits were "still high."

New York also announced the re-signing of linebacker Ricky Sapp to the active roster. Defensive tackle Terence Barnes was added to the practice squad, replacing Junior Aumavae.

The Jets (3-2) will host the winless Pittsburgh Steelers (0-4) on Sunday.
