Dodgers 'Rally Bear' Makes Case For Best Fake Mascot In A Supporting Role
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- True story: Dustin Hoffman went to Monday night's NLCS game in Los Angeles and ended up with great seats to a dance extravaganza featuring baseball's newest darling -- a wannabe mascot in a bear costume.
Anything can happen in the postseason.
The Dodgers beat St. Louis 3-0 and now trail the Cardinals 2-1 in the best-of-seven series. But the conversation Tuesday was dominated by a pair of celebrations: Yasiel Puig's bat-flip triple and that crazy dancin' bear.
The fuzzy one unleashed his inner Footloose in the eighth inning on top of the Cardinals dugout. He was eventually corralled to a chorus of boos.
There's even a petition for the Dodgers to keep it around as an unofficial mascot, "Because we love the Rally Bear."
