Anyone With Information Is Asked To Call Crime Stoppers At 1-800-577-TIPS

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police have released photos of two men they say stole a collection box from a church on the Lower East Side.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. last Thursday.

The two suspects walked into Our Lady of Sorrows Church on Stanton Street, grabbed the wooden collection box and fled, police said.

It is unclear how much money was in the box.

No injuries were reported.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
