Police: Pedestrian Struck By 3 Cars In The Bronx Dies

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was killed after being hit by three cars in the Bronx Monday morning, police said.

The incident happened around 8 a.m. at the intersection of Puritan and East Tremont Avenues.

Angel Figueroa, 74, was trying to cross the street when he was struck by a 1999 Dodge Durango, police said.

Figueroa was then hit by an unidentified vehicle before being struck a third time by a 2013 Nissan Altima, police said.

Figueroa was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Dodge Durango and the Nissan Altima remained on scene, police said.

The driver of the Durango is facing charges for driving with a suspended license, police said.

No arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing.
