By Joe Cingrana, 92.3 NOW

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/92.3 NOW) -- A Rock and Roll dream came true.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation stopped by the 92.3 NOW FM NYC studios Wednesday with wish child Mark Guerra, a 19-year-old musician from San Antonio, Texas.

Guerra's Big Apple rock star experience began on Oct. 23 and will continue through Oct 25.

Obviously, part of being a rock star is having press obligations. So Mark, his family and band, Breaking Boundryz, came by the studios for an interview with Ty Loves NY's morning show co-hosts Lulu & Lala.

As Mark and the band walked into the studios, they were given a heroes welcome by the Edison High School Eagles Cheerleaders. After the interview, Mark and his band were presented with a video montage of clips provided by some of today's hottest stars (Selena Gomez, Travie McCoy, Imagine Dragons, Three Days Grace, CeeLo Green, Emblem3 and Karmin) giving advice and pointers on how to get through the daily grind of rock star life.

92.3 NOW Resident Mixer Jay Dabhi summed up the day best:

"Today was really touching. Here came this boy from Texas whose wish is to be a rock star – and with that being on a radio station – something we all have the wonderful opportunity of doing everyday. His wish is the dream we are all living. It makes me feel really grateful and appreciative because, today, we're living our dream. Sometimes we forget about the blessing and instead get bogged down with the speculations of what may happen tomorrow. Live life in the NOW (no pun intended). I'm glad we were able to help make Mark's dream a reality. He inspired me immensely."

It was an absolute pleasure meeting with Mark, his family and friends and his bandmates Adriana, Benito and Brandon. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this special day!
