Police Search For 2 Suspects In Staten Island Cab Robbery

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Tuesday were searching for a man and woman who allegedly committed a robbery in a cab on Staten Island earlier this month.

The robbery happened around 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, in front of 36 Seneca Ave. in the Sunnyside section of Staten Island, police said.

The suspects got into the cab about two miles north at 240 Broadway on Staten Island, and directed the cab to Seneca Avenue, police said.

Once the cab was in front of 36 Seneca Ave., the male suspect took out a gun and demanded money from the 43-year-old victim, police said.

The suspects took $200 and fled on foot, police said.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspects.
