Grand Jury Indicts 11 Bikers In Connection With Road Rage Incident

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A Manhattan grand jury has indicted 11 bikers, including an undercover New York City police detective, on various charges related to a motorcyclist-SUV highway brawl.

As WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported, the indictment Friday said undercover NYPD detective Wojciech Braszczok, 32, was charged with gang assault, criminal mischief, riot and other charges.

Prosecutors have said Braszczok actively participated in the attack by shattering the SUV's back window. Attorney John Arlia didn't immediately return a message seeking comment.

Three men were charged with criminal possession of a weapon -- one for having a shod foot and two others with possessing "a hard object.''

The indictment lists 14 counts, including coercion and riot.

The men have court dates scheduled for next week and in February.

The SUV driver isn't charged with any crime.
