Alec Baldwin Gets Into Confrontation With Media Outside His Village Home

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- One day after his alleged stalker was found guilty and sentenced, actor Alec Baldwin was again involved in a confrontation with reporters and photographers.

As CBS 2's Andrea Grymes reported, the actor got into a shouting match and then summoned the police as photographers snapped away in front of his Greenwich Village apartment building.

There was a media frenzy outside the building Friday afternoon as Baldwin packed up his Mercedes SUV to leave with his wife, Hilaria, and their baby.

"They're harassing my child, I got a little baby here," said the actor.

Grymes asked Baldwin if he had any comments about the verdict.

The actor, infamous for his confrontations with the media, kept his cool this time but did not answer questions outside his home.

A photographer shouted, "Alec, was Genevieve more annoying than all of us photographers?"

A judge on Thursday found Genevieve Sabourin guilty of stalking and harassing Baldwin. Sabourin claims the two of them had a romantic relationship, something Baldwin denied during his testimony in which he tearfully told the judge that Sabourin terrorized his life.

Sabourin was sentenced to six months in jail and had already been sentenced to 30 days in jail for contempt of court for her repeated outbursts during the proceedings.

With the trial behind him, Baldwin seemed to enlist the help of a group of students to block photographers as he packed up the car and his wife came out with the baby.

"She gets scared of the flashes," Hilaria Baldwin said as she made her way outside.

Hilaria Baldwin pointed out to her husband a reporter who she claimed almost hit her with a microphone yesterday. Alec Baldwin confronted the reporter, got in his car and seconds later got back out.

While his little dogs looked on from the front seat, Baldwin spoke to the police who had arrived.

"See that blonde woman, I want to press charges against her," Alec Baldwin told a cop.

The reporter told Baldwin she did nothing wrong, Grymes reported.

Following the scrum, Hilaria Baldwin posted a message on Twitter.

"He's extremely provoked and I see it all the time," Baldwin's neighbor, Miranda Gordon, told Grymes. "He's an incredibly nice person, his wife is incredibly nice. They're the nicest neighbors."

As Baldwin pulled out of his parking spot, he bumped a photographer's car parked in front of him. The actor offered to pay for any damage, but the photographer told him not to worry about it, Grymes reported.

After several hours in court Tuesday, Baldwin was caught on camera getting into heated exchanges with photographers outside the courthouse.

He told a Post photographer who he had faced off with after an altercation in February: "I hope you choke to death."

As he drove away in his car, Baldwin rolled down the window and snapped at a CBS 2 photographer: "What job did you want to do that you failed at, that you're doing this job?"
