Bloomingdale's Unveils Holiday Window Displays
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- For many New Yorkers, the unveiling of the Bloomingdale's window displays marks the unofficial start to the holiday season.
As 1010 WINS' Sonia Rincon reported, the famed Manhattan department store unwrapped its windows Tuesday night, revealing its latest displays.
Singer Josh Groban and the New York Children's Chorus performed before male models pulled the ties that brought the paper off the windows.

A small crowd gathered, shivering and huddling together in the cold wind while waiting with their cameras ready.
The sparkling, colorful windows have different county themes -- France, Italy, China, for example. Each window features a big box that swivels around to reveal different scenes in each country.
Elizabeth said the displays at Bloomingdale's are iconic.
"I feel like New York is known for it," she said. "And I'm actually from California. This is my first Christmas ever in New York. We don't have this in California. It's nice being part of it."
Jay from Manhattan said he looks forward to the store displays each year.
"I love these," he said. "I love Lord & Taylor. I love Bergdorf windows. They're a part of my Christmas ritual."
Joy from Brooklyn said she also makes the rounds at the stores, adding that there is something comforting about the displays when shopping.
"They put a lot of effort into it," she said. "They're very imaginative. And it brings the holidays in."
