EMS: Man Stabbed Outside JFK Airport Terminal

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A man has been stabbed following an altercation outside of Terminal 8 at John F. Kennedy International Airport Friday afternoon, authorities said.

The Port Authority Police called the incident a serious assault, CBS 2's Joe Biermann reported. The incident happened around 4:30 p.m., EMS said.

Two men got into an argument and one of them stabbed the other in the forehead before driving off in a bronze 207 Acura, Port Authority Police said.

Witnesses told 1010 WINS that the fight may have been over a fare. The victim suffered a laceration over his left eye.

"Basically they was fighting for a fare and one of the guys had a knife or a cutter," a witness told 1010 WINS reporter Sonia Rincon.

He was taken to Jamaica Hospital in serious condition.

An investigation was ongoing.
